52x52 challenge and other stuff...

so I've been just itching to share with you all my page I did for the 52x52 challenge (which by the way...you should give it a whirl!!). I actually love how this page turned out...and did you notice that I pulled out an OLD Heidi Swapp clear frame? I know, right..I rock!! *giggle* And there are some flowers...a variation of my original bitties before I went with the vintage book print. Anyway...just was a really fun one to do and I had to put down the story that he really wanted to dye eggs this year when I was totally being the bad mom and blowing it off!!

I also found another great challenge site!! It's founded by a gal that was on my Creative Chaos Creative team, Pamela Young. It's called Scrapbook Challenges...and has a whole forum dedicated to getting your creative juices flowing. Check it out!!

AND...finally I took some pictures of my new pride and joy. :) My hoosier cabinet. I'm eventually going to repaint/distress it but for now it totally works..and holds ALL my scrapbook stuff. Yes people...that's EVERYTHING. And when I run out of space I purge...because I find I scrap a lot more (HA!) when I'm not overwhelmed with stuff.
So on the top portion of it holds my papers and embellies...ribbons and stuff. On the side (you can see on the picture on the right) I have magnetic tins from IKEA which hold all my buttons, brads etc by color. My papers are in the 2 Karen Foster paper holders..and then there is some random junk. :) In the bottom is my tool tote plus my photo printer and regular printer (as I don't have a desk). It also holds my scrap papers and chipboard. And in the door there is a basket that holds my page kits and trimmer. The drawers hold my memorbilia, bigger alphas and idea books. So excited!! And Shawn is going to make some brackets so the the top will slide out like it's supposed to and then I'll scrap right on that area. :) Then went out to my folks tonight to do a load of laundry (some punk kids broke into our water station so the town has issued a warning not to use the water for ANYTHING..it's been a pretty serious deal but I'm thinking it'll turn into nothing)...anyway...the boys were so accomodating...posing around for me so I could take some pictures. They were ACTUALLY getting along...it was a miracle! And have I mentioned that I LOVE LOVE LOVE my new camera (i know..check me out and all my CAPS words!!). No editing on these photos and it was sunset..dusk...used my portrait lens..now to learn how to use the rest of my camera!! lol And check out Auston's cool mud boots. that kid totally cracks me up.

I'm really rambling tonight so will cut this off now...if you got this far with all these pictures...well then...you rock!! Have a great night oh and hey..lemme know if you complete the 52x52 challenge...link me so I can see!! :)

  4. love the cabinet, Jenn. i've been purging more of my supplies lately and i'm over having so much extra stuff. it's a pain and i forget what i have. not to mention i NEVER use hardly any of it and it gets 'dated' quick (to me anyway, lol). wow, don't know where that ramble came from. just stopping by to say 'hi'. i haven't been blogging much lately either....nor scrapping.
